How to Start Playing Zerpmon
Interested in joining the Zerpmon community and earning rewards
while you play?
Look no further! This guide will provide everything you need to know and help you get the best start based on your initial budget. The first thing you need to do is set a Trust Line (TL) for the ZRP token in your chosen XRPL wallet (note that there will be a 2 XRP lockup for this). Refer to your wallet's guide below for more information.
10-99 XRP - Play Without Buying a Zerpmon NFT
Once you set your TL to ZRP and swap some XRP for ZRP, the next
step is to loan a Trainer Card NFT from the web app marketplace.
Then, acquire as many Zerpmons as you can afford (up to five)
that fit your trainer (though it doesn't have to match
perfectly), and consider adding equipment that complements your
Zerpmon.
Important! Equipment with a specific type can only be wielded by
a Zerpmon with an attack of the same trait. For example, if you have
a fire Zerpmon without a fire attack, fire-type equipment won't be
suitable for it.
Build your deck and start playing in gyms. There are 20 different
gyms, each with a 3-day reset period. Clearing a gym rewards you
with 0.5 ZRP, and this increases by 0.5 with each stage. On stage
1, you can earn up to 10 ZRP if you clear all gyms, up to 20 ZRP
on stage 2, and up to 200 ZRP on stage 20. With a five-Zerpmon team,
you should be able to clear about 10 stages on most gyms, but you
may encounter some challenging counters.
Ensure you don't spend more on loaning than you will earn in
rewards, so you can compound your ZRP to eventually buy a
trainer, Zerpmons, and equipment, saving on loaning costs over
time.
Remember to complete all daily missions, participate in Battle Royales,
and fight the world boss once daily to maximize rewards. You can
earn XP, XRP, ZRP, mission refills, revive potions, and more! These
items can be traded or sold for extra income to help you get the
NFT card you want when it becomes available.
For newcomers, I recommend checking #noobys logs on Discord.
100+ XRP - Play With Loaned Zerpmon and Any NFTs You're Willing to Buy
To play at this level, a Trainer Card NFT is essential. Trainers
are rarely released but are sold at a low cost (99 XRP) and are
key to the Zerpmon universe. At the time of writing, the floor
price for trainers is 200 XRP. However, some collaborating NFT
collections like ShillPunks offer trainer cards for 99 XRP; ask
in Discord for help finding these.
Once you have your trainer card, purchase some ZRP, around 15 to
50, to get started.
If you have additional XRP, consider buying equipment or Zerpmon
NFTs as well.
It's helpful to ask in Discord for advice on which Zerpmons or
equipment to get based on your trainer type. Always check a
Zerpmon's move set in the Web app before purchasing to ensure it
fits your preferences. Search for the Zerpmon's name and click
the NFT image, or use /show_zerpmon in Discord.
Loan as many Zerpmons as you can afford (up to five total, including
any you own), and consider equipment that matches your Zerpmon's
traits.
Important! Equipment with a specific type can only be used by a Zerpmon
with an attack of the same trait.
Build your deck and start playing in gyms. There are 20 different
gyms, each with a 3-day reset period. Clearing a gym rewards you
with 0.5 ZRP, increasing by 0.5 for each stage. On stage 1, you
can earn up to 10 ZRP if you clear all gyms, 20 ZRP on stage 2,
and up to 200 ZRP on stage 20.
Ensure your loan expenses don't exceed your gains, allowing you to
save ZRP and invest in more Zerpmons and equipment over time, reducing
the need to borrow.
Complete daily missions, join Battle Royales, and challenge the world
boss daily to maximize rewards like XP, XRP, ZRP, mission refills,
and revive potions. These can be traded or sold for extra income to
help acquire desired NFTs when available.
